Woman’s 43 operations to look like Barbie backfire

t won’t come as a shock to anyone when I say that there are a lot of people in the world who aren’t one hundred percent satisfied with how they look. These days cosmetic procedures and surgeries are becoming increasingly common.

A lot of people aspire to look a certain way and this woman is no exception. Her inspiration happens to be Barbie.

Now, after over 43 surgeries and procedures, she looks a lot different. Keep reading to learn more.

That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re desperate to change their appearance in any major way, only that staring in the mirror and wishing one’s nose was a little smaller, one’s hair a little less thin, one’s skin a little less blemished, is incredibly common.

In many ways the refusal to be content with how we look is a uniquely human flaw, and it only seems to have gotten more prevalent since the rise of social media.

Now, though dreaming of an altered appearance might not be all that rare, there are very few who ever actually go about drastically changing the way they are. If you ask me, this is a blessing, especially since you can never be sure how you might look after any given surgery.

Of course, there are those who decide to take things a step further. You know the sort of characters I’m talking about, those who are willing to spend astronomical amounts of money undergoing procedures in a bid to transform their appearance into something else.

Dalia Naeem, a 30-year-old resident of Baghdad, has spent a fortune on trying to attain a look comparable to that of a Barbie doll. As per reports, people now refer to her as the “Iraqi Barbie”, and she’s undergone some 43 cosmetic procedures in her bid to replicate Barbie’s appearance.

Dalia works as a presenter and actress in her native country, but is extremely active on social media, updating her legion of Instagram followers as to her latest enhancements.

The 30-year-old has a whopping 1 million fans on the platform, many of whom express their delight each time she goes under the knife or gets another procedure.

Needless to say, interest in Dalia’s transition has been huge, particularly since she’s virtually now unrecognizable compared to the woman she was before she set off on the road of body modification.

Yet while Dalia herself appears hell-bent on further altering her appearance, she does have her detractors. She’s been labeled a “zombie” by some commenters on Instagram, while another called her a “Devil Barbie.”

We feel we’d be remiss in our duties if we didn’t categorically state our belief that no one should ever feel the need to alter their appearance. We are all beautiful just the way we are, and it’s our differences that make us truly unique.

That said, though Dalia’s journey might not be for everyone, the main thing is that she seems content with her decisions.
