Something unbelievable happened when when 19-year-old Colby Swift took the stage on American Idol.
Colby had never performed in front of a large crowd and had never had a voice lesson. He said that he had never even left his home state of Texas before! Nevertheless, the judges were blown away by his performance of Freddy Fender’s “Before the Next Teardrop Falls.”Idol judge Luke Bryan felt a special connection with the aspiring young country singer. “Well, I don’t know if a kid has ever walked in here and been more me at 19,” he said. Then Bryan asked an unusual question after looking at the tattered shoes on Colby’s feet. “What size shoe are you, Colby?” he asked.
The crowd couldn’t believe it when Byran took the boots off his feet an passed them over to the star-struck young cowboy. Watch the heartfelt moment in the video below!
