KBLA Talk 1580 Radio Host Robin Ayers Dies at 44 Just Days After Celebrating Her Twin Daughters’ 18th Birthday

Robin Ayers, a beloved host on KBLA Talk 1580 and veteran entertainment journalist, passed away on December 5 at the age of 44.

The station shared the heartbreaking news with a message from Travis Smiley, who described Ayers as “a bright light” with a “radiant smile.” Smiley praised her “immense talent,” “jovial spirit,” and “faith in God,” offering condolences to her husband, Rob, and twin daughters, Brooklyn and Madison.

Ayers was a devoted mother, frequently sharing her family’s milestones on social media. Days before her passing, she celebrated her daughters’ 18th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a nostalgic video from their 16th birthday. She wrote, “This video aged well! Happy 18th birthday… but we’re celebrating too!” The family had also recently traveled to New York City for Thanksgiving, creating cherished memories in Times Square and Central Park.
A respected figure in entertainment journalism, Ayers built her career at EURweb.com before joining KBLA Talk 1580 as the host of “The RA Report.” Known for her engaging interviews and connection with listeners, Ayers left a lasting impact on her audience and colleagues.
